There is no great tango marathon without energetic and devoted DJ’s. Therefore, we are incredibly happy that Raimund Schlie is a part of our 2021 DJ-team and we are sure he will make us dance and party for hours.

Raimund Schlie

After 30 years in Tango Raimund Schlie, for most of you, probably does not need an introduction. He has been dancing Argentine Tango since the early 90´s and was one of the founders of the Berlin tango school Mala Junta where he still teaches. He has been organizing tango events and concerts for many years and is an internationally recognized DJ.

Troesma, Pichuco, Tuerto

When we ask Raimund to name three words that would describes him as a DJ he chooses: Troesma, Pichuco, Tuerto. And continues; I agree with most of the average key messages regarding repertoire, danceability & constructive concept. As a standard DJ-set is limited to around 100 songs I don´t choose anything other than first choice. And I probably add carefully some personal flavour.

What brought you to tango?

I stumbled into a weird dance named milonga 30 years ago and to my surprise there was a thing called tango related to it!
